[edit] Current Creations

Here is a list of my current contributions to SporeWiki, in order of creation:

[edit] Sapients

  • Aurum/Aurix -- My main and most detailed creation! The major inhabitant of Vuunega, and an offshoot of the extinct Zocax.
  • Ciitarkian -- An ancient species from 5th grade, brought back to life.
  • (Green) Surpraxx -- Another ancient species from 5th grade, brought back from the dead.
  • Melmacian -- A "tribute race" I've claimed dibs on.
  • Amphorian -- A race of vicious amphibian creatures with snake-like features. Oddly enough, one of the greatest threats to much of the galaxy.
  • Isk -- The reptilian rulers of the vast Iskian Empire.
  • Amebzian -- Curious, generally peaceful quantient shapeshifting Amorphs.
  • Avin -- Tiny, arboreal, quadrupedal birds who, like the Surpraxx, are allied with the Scourge Space Pirates.
  • Zolacian -- Tall, lanky marine filterers who once ruled the planet of Zolacia, now known as the planet Hydroth.
  • Zazlotl -- Short, feathery-gilled marine caudates who were once allies with the Zolacian, but are now one of their mortal foes.
  • Permitted -- A bipedal, digitigrade race who dislike other sapient races interfering with their intended business. Much about their purpose and beliefs are a mystery (mainly due to their current role in the Aurixan storyline).
  • Laavol -- Unfriendly and generally untrustworthy quantient corrosive Amorphs. Members of the Iskian Empire.
  • Fafni -- Knuckle-walking, green-skinned brutes who hail from their homeworld of Falphurnn. Allies of the Millicrabs and slaves of the Amphorians.
  • Tauntar -- Bipedal, mammalian race who are often noted for resting their bodies on their tails, making them technically tripedal. A warrior race, they are not well known for being defeated in combat. An ancient species from 7th grade, resurrected.
  • Orb -- Hovering, spherical mechanioids of unknown origin and unknown purpose. Sport extremely intimidating weaponry, yet never seem to utilize it. An ancient race from 7th Grade, rebooted.
  • Glairnog -- Strangely cloaked, over-imaginative xenoarchaeologists who spend much of their resources studying the ancient cultures of other races. Not often right as to their speculation of discovered artifacts thanks to their creativity.
  • Urkhail -- Extremely lanky creatures who can be seen either as very tall bipeds or as stalking, spider-like organisms.
  • Desilic -- Weak-sighted, trisnouted philosophers with protofeathered feet, used in locating their natural prey.
  • Mohm -- Stocky, tricloptic suines who have had their culture transmogrified from farming to warmongering by the Crux space pirates of Cycrab.
  • Praazhm -- Tall, six-legged creatures most distinguishable by their massive bone extension covering the top of their head. Best known for their taming of introduced, non-sapient Aurix during their long tribal era.
  • Vhalslask -- Tall, fin-headed "Space Shamans" whose inner and outer mouths are hidden by a set of thick facial tentacles. A bone extending out of their heads allow them to collect rain water. They believe in order and growing ecosystems to their maximum potential.

[edit] Creatures

  • Murkdweller -- Intelligent ocean hunters, equivalent to sharks on Vuunega.
  • Slizzard -- A non-sapient species found on Vuunega.
  • Stallop -- A non-sapient insectoid also found on Vuunega.
  • Roalch -- Non-sapient, detrivorous crustaceans found on the desert world of Tozect.
  • Green Clacker -- Non-sapient placoderms once found in the Red Vuukelp forests off the southern coast of Zeeon on Vuunega; however, they are suspected to be extinct.
  • Quirlax -- Intelligent, long-necked herbivorous offshoots of the Zocax, whose evolution is controlled by the Aurix.
  • Neomwa -- Swift, voracious, flying swarm hunters that are known predators of the Aurix. Another offshoot of the Zocax.
  • Archaeotherium -- The most ancient of all creatures upon Vuunega, they are incredible survivors. They possessed some sort of relationship with the now-extinct Zomm.
  • Razorfly -- Small, detrivorous, razor-winged insects, who feed and lay their eggs in rotting flesh.
  • Wairoc -- Thin-bodied, flying mammals who hunt from their treetop homes.
  • Uniceraneustes -- Large, aquatic dinosaurids who swim within shallow seas, eating both plants and coral.
  • Salamand -- Giant, vicious, amphibious reptilians who are used by the Amphorians to obliterate their strongest foes.
  • Grute -- Large, carnivorous vigintipod, seemingly descended from crustaceans in some way.
  • Chiser -- A species of decapodic crustacean whose pincers are replaced with a set of gigantic, extremely sharp mandibles.
  • Squiidaunt -- Tiny, armored, marine cephalopods who have adapted a matriarchal hive society much akin to ants, making their homes out of coral.
  • Skullbeak -- Hard-headed, tripodal avids from the planet Vuunega. A well-known predator of the younger forms of the xenosuran Catapult Trees.
  • Vrott -- A species of tripodal siliconite whose massive size and high territoriality makes them a large threat, despite their slow movement.
  • Threadbug -- Tiny, "useless" insectoids from the planet Surpraxxia who have inadvertently become major pests on several worlds and on many starships and space stations, thanks to their appetite.
  • Hiiv -- Quadrupedal apex predators of their homeworld. Often sold by Space Pirates as "bargain bin" monsters for underhanded coliseums the galaxy over. Notable for their possession of two mouths.
  • Screek -- Nocturnal flying relatives of the Aurix. Last hemophagous relative to evolve, they are also the only known offshoot to have ever shrunk in size.
  • Grendon -- Diurnal, quadrupedal relatives of the Aurix. Longtime rivals of their ancestor-relatives, as well as a viable food source to sustain them.
  • Crawler -- Small, nearly insignificant xenosurin arthropoids from the beaches of the planet Vuunega. Well-known benthic beach opportunistic feeders.
  • Seeker Beast -- Abstractian species who walks awkwardly on two stilt-like legs and probes about with its long proboscis.
  • King of Swimmers -- Massive Vuunegan omnicetid which swim the oceans, perpetually hungry. Largest recorded organism to ever inhabit Vuunega.
  • Biloid -- Extremely fast, very hostile bioluminescent eyestalked organism. Intense speed and hostility make them a large threat.
  • Vrennum -- Shelled, aquatic offshoot of the Aurix on Vuunega. Only species with known subspecies.

[edit] Plantlife

  • Catapult Tree -- A dominating species of carnivorous palm that forms the basis of tropical beach forests on the planet Vuunega.
  • Kkui Plant -- A mobile, carnivorous cycad residing in the deep, dark recesses of the lava caves in tropical Zeeon, on the planet Vuunega.

[edit] Terrain

  • Zalkore -- A planet initially intended for use as my second Spore Fanfic on the Spore Games forum, but it fell through. Now it's here.
  • Jaeda System -- The stellar system that Zalkore belongs to. Officially known as "Theta Esquilius".
  • Tozect -- An inhospitable, extremely hot desert planet which was once teeming with life, but now supports few species. Dominating creature types are arthropods.
  • Vuunega -- A water world that was once home to the now-extinct Zomm, and now home to the near-sapient Aurix.
  • Kesari -- A swamp planet in the Zhe'vuul System. This is also home the dread Amphorians.
  • Blood -- An ex-paradise world which was once the homeworld of the Soleian, which was turned into a dead world by the Zaryn World Cleansers. Due to the nature of this now-dead world, it is ruled strictly by hemophages and hemophage-carnivore hybrids.
  • Hydroth -- A water world controlled by the Crux Space Pirates. One of the most intelligence-rich planets in the galaxy, five sapient races hail from this world.
  • Zhe'vuul System -- The stellar system that Kesari belongs to. Officially known as Beta Glaiius.
  • Ethuun -- A jungle world choked with mazes of flora, making it virtually inhospitable to many spacefaring species. Home of the Yothrak.

[edit] Vehicles

  • Land Sprinter -- Terrestrial war machine utilized often by the Tauntar alongside their soldiers.

[edit] Maxis Creations

These are creatures actually created by Maxis, but that I personally added to SporeWiki.

[edit] Sagan 4 Organisms

[edit] Claims to Fame

  • Solitary author of the Aurix game on GameFaqs.
  • Coined the term "Quantient", which is a level of intellect above sapience, in which all cells in the body sapience, making the body work like a hive mind of sorts.
  • Coined the term "Celltient" along with Yannick, which is a level below quantient.
  • Uses 100% original sprites to show the look of the creatures of the Aurix game, which is done totally in MSPaint.
  • First user to list Scientific Classification on Spore creatures, which I do extensively, as you can see from my creation pages. This feature is now seen on various other Spore pages. However, my belief system in this has changed somewhat more recently.
  • Personally wrote the Scientific Classifications for the Corosliev (a creature from the Spore Game forums), and the Zebodi from GameFaqs, as well.
  • Possibly the most dedicated (but somewhat slow because of this) Spore fanfiction writers out there. For instance, Round 85 of the Aurix game (posted Wednesday, September 6th, 2006) took me approximately 12 hours to write and redraw the sprites. Little of that time was spent on breaks.

[edit] Favorite Articles

  • Suviin -- A planet created by Triu. Although it is not tremendously fleshed out, a lot of scientific work has been put into it. Good job, Triu!
  • Naucean -- One of everyone's favorites. I plan to one day have as extensive of information on my Aurix as is located here in the Nauceans.
  • Gtetun -- I really like how this species looks. Good job, Giant Blue Anteater!
  • Others To Come...

[edit] About Me

Greetings and salutations. My name is Thor, and I am the creator of the Aurum, Surpraxx, Amphorian, Morrakkus, as well as various other species and terrains. I am 25 years old and live in Alaska. I originally was born in Ninilchik but now reside in Alaska's biggest city, Anchorage.

Outside of working on my Aurix game on GameFaqs, I work as a member of the Alaska Paranormal Research & Investigations as an Intuitive and in Energy Transferences.

I also love linking to things, for no particular reason. This is possibly because I consider myself an amateur scientist, through which I mainly follow biology, astronomy, and paleontology; I am also a follower of cryptozoology. This is partially caused by my coming from an old town like Ninilchik (which happens to be a very-unknown hot-spot for paranormal activity) as well as coming from a family of Intuitives (true "psychics" no longer call themselves that due to people like Ms. Cleo, John Edward, and Sylvia Browne giving us a bad name). No, I cannot control my intuitive "abilities", other than energy transferences.

Anyways, enough of that. I am addicted to the internet, and my life revolves around video games, which I guess makes me a "nerd"; that being said, I don't look like your stereotypical nerd, and am apparently quite handsome (I think I look like a barbarian).

I am notorious for my excessive amount of pets, which is known to include the following:
5 parakeets (Tweetie, Mellow, Ozbird, Taffy, & Topher/Flicky)
2 cats (Charlie), Tigger
2 cockatiels (Mozart & Baby)
2 garter snakes (Axolitl & Axolotl)
1 dog (Lucky)
1 hedgehog/urchin (Hedgeums aka "Sonic" aka "Ulysses")
1 leopard gecko (Blizzy)
1 frilled dragon (Unnamed)
1 Gerbil (Unnamed)
1 bullfrog (Frogger)
1 betta (Unnamed)

My interests include movie making, my wide humor range (from very light to very dark humor), making video games, playing video & computer games, collecting pets, ghost-hunting, UFO-hunting, dressing up (currently as Black Mage, Snifit, Clyde the Ghost, or Pyramid Head), while acting like a fool throughout town, and my writings and drawings.

I originally heard about Spore from my friend Charlie back when it had apparently first been announced, and have quietly followed the news about until I finally became openly obsessed with it around May 2006. I had hoped to make a game in this scope eventually, but that would have taken years to get to the head of a gaming department, plus the years of college I've so far "neglected" to enroll into. His game is still quite great, however, and mine probably would have usurped your entire computer (I had long-forgotten about procedural programming). Anyways..

[edit] My Standing On The Creation Of Species

Although I don't go and tell people to follow my beliefs, I strongly try to follow my own guidelines while making species.

I don't believe in making a race the so-called "most powerful being in the universe/galaxy", as I feel it's a little unfair and I'm sure someone else can come up with something that could kick its butt. I also see bipedal, very-humanoid sapients (Klingons, et cetera) as cliche, and I don't find it tremendously original. That being said, any races I created from before my belief system was created for me continue to exist in a form rather similar to their original design, and therefore I have plenty of bipedal sapients.

I try to make my specie balanced...ish. They are typically stronger than mankind, but tend to have their own set of exploitable weaknesses. Even my Zaryn World Cleansers have weaknesses.

I also no longer believe in making alien species that are directly related to Earth species, and have decided that they would belong to totally different groups, all the way from Domain down. Even with this, I will likely aid those working to categorize all species, eventually.

[edit] Help & Suggestions

If you have anything to suggest or if you're willing to help me with the creation of better artwork for my various creations, please do so; it will be very welcome. You can either get a hold of me through my talk section, or through my email (which I check more often) -- you can find my email address further below.

[edit] Lore

If you would like, I am willing to allow you to use my creations as content in the histories/current activity of your creations, considering you are kind and fair about it (in other words, no slaughtering my species or destroying huge amounts of anything on their home planets, unless you ask first and get my permission) -- however, please ask me first. This is both so I can check what you've added and enjoy it myself, but also because I would like to work it into my ongoing storylines. You can either get a hold of me through my email (found lower on this page), or by getting a hold of me through my talk page.

We have been given the thumbs-up to include the Percusa into part of the Aurum storyline, due in part to our the author (JediMutant) quitting their game. When that comes to fruition, you can expect to read about it here on the site, as well as the main Aurum website, which the link to exists lower on the page.

[edit] E-Mail

Do you wish to email me, without taking the time or the effort to go to my Aurix site and locate the email address yourself? Well then, you'll have to piece my address together here (in order to hopefully deter possible spam hitting my inbox), but you can email me at
gokousama (at) hotmail (dot) com.
Please put something involving either SporeWiki, or the name of one of my creations from here or something to help me realize it's not junk mail. If I don't answer within a fortnight (two weeks), it probably got lost somewhere, and I therefore encourage you to resend.

[edit] The Aurix Websites

You may check out the site for my Interactive Spore Fanfic, the Aurix. We are almost at Chapter 6, and the sooner you can log on, the better. I'm one of the better writers of Spore Games, as well. I also supply my players with sprite pictures of the Current Main Inhabitants that can be found during each round. If you would like to check this out at anytime, you can feel free by clicking the link below.
