Technocrat VIII is a ringed gas giant orbiting the star Illum Technocrat in the Technocrat system. So far, little information is available about it due to the lack of interest taken in it by Vetrixi and Praetyrian space agencies.

Little information is available on the lifeforms, if any, inhabiting Technocrat VIII. It is suspected that no life exists on this planet, but some believe that a race of giant amoebas lived there once, and then lost their size and power to atmospheric conditions to become smaller and endangered.

For a gas giant, Technocrat VIII is relatively calm, unlike its neighbour Technocrat VII. This calmness is the primary source fueling the claims that it contains life, claims which are dismissed by the majority of astrologists.

Technocrat VIII has no artifical satellites, but 29 natural ones. They are composed of many different minerals and gases, and are thought to indicate that Technocrat VIII was once terrestial.
