In response to the DICE 07 video where Jenna Chalmers says that intelligence is determined by bipedalness and pets are quadrupeds, I made this. To show that indeed mounts can be bipedal and their masters can be quadrupeds.

The Equpsitta is an intelligent creature that resembles a pink, bird-like horse. They are about the size of a house cat and live in small tribes. They are extremely social and both hunt and gather food. They are omnivores and enjoy everything from eggs and meat, to fruit, leaves, and small invertebrates. Both their front and back legs have hands in which they can grasp things, or the can walk around on all fours. They rarely go bipedal and tend to sit when making tools or eating. When they speak they make chirping sounds and sing alot, especially when working.

They have domesticated a dumb bipedal creature called the Pshomo. They are used for their strong bodies and sharp claws, and are used as mounts as well as pack animals. They also have been used for mounted battles where the Equpsitta hit each other with clubs while hanging from a basket connected to the Pshomo. The Pshomo are also trained and bred to use their sharp claws to cut each other while in battle. They are good guard animals and fend off predators. Pshomos are about the size of a human and are herbivorous.
