[edit] Evolution
Unlike other species, Caoes are a crossbred of a one-eyed flying race and a stinger-clad, tunnel-dwelling race(dubbed Flaclay and Scrapain respectively) . Due to some strange reasons, one from each species mated. Labezer scientists are still looking for the cause today, through the latest and most believable is extraterrestrial interference. The offspring were kept in a large underground carven unknown by other species. Parental care is another trait that was unheard in the other races (as Caoes were capable of this, it also hints of alien involment). The Caoes care for their children until 10 years (the time when Caoes reach maturity). The Caoes kept themselves to the carven, but a mass solar from Desoies resulted in immediate extinction of the Flaclays. The Scrapain also died off as their prey had died (the two races ate each other). The Caoes were the only to live as they ate a special food (see below). After a few decades, the carven became crowded and the Caoes migrated out. As they spread, they evolved further until they are the Caoes you see today.

The Caoes have are a flying, stinging, one-eyed race that have fascinated Labezer scientists for years. Having a large one eye that is covered by a hard scale that protects it from dust and drying out (and having an eyelid for an eye that’s 2 feet would make it too heavy to fly).On either side of the eyelid are two wings allowing it to glide and rapid-beating flight. Then comes the vital part of all Caoes, the stinger. At first glance, viewers and victims think that the stinger just carries the poison gland, sac, stinger and nothing else. However, if you were to cut it off, the Caoe would flap around for a few seconds, than fall down to the floor, trying to take large gasps. Scientists surprised by this, pried open the Caoe and found out that the main body houses a brain that is centered around the eye and in every bone except in the stinger. The stinger had numerous pores around it to let it breathe and four lungs placed at the top. The heart was placed in the center, the liver and vital organs around it. Something nicked named the second brain that controlled the senses was squeezed between the stomach and a single kidney. The hearing, smelling, and tasting organs were squashed in between the venom sac and gland. The stinger was at the very front, at the opening, with the reproductive and exertion organs. In all, the stingers were crucial to the Caoes. Although the brain is large and can be found in every bone of the caoe (except the stinger, where it is already too crowded) the caoe are not that smart. They have amazing control of their bodies and can respond to any hostilities in a few nano seconds. However, the thinking part of the brain is only 50/1000 of the brain (located at the center of the left wing). Running some tests, Labezer biologists found out that Caoes have an computing ability of 3452, which means, given knowing what to do, they could find out 694564x6723842 in a few seconds. But this proved impossible, as they have no idea what 694564 is! They know numbers, but only three: 1, 2, and a lot. Although a caoe's heart is very small, it beats at the rate of 10 beats per minute. The reason for this is because its vital organs are centered around; returning only 2 beats for everything in the stinger. The brain, as being the largest organ of the body and fully used, requires 8 beats per minutes.
[edit] Mating
At the time of their maturity, male Caoes fly out on a solo expedition. Flying high so his shadow will fall over the most amount of space, he is soon joined by mature females wishing to mate with him. As this mating ritual happens usually at noon, the shadows are quite large and can alert masses of females. The male than proceeds at full power, his heart and wings pumping at a pace only available at times of mating. The feamles then try to catch up with him. Only the fittest will catch up with him and become his mate, thus ensuring natural selection. The female than encloses her partner in an embrace of wings and stingers. As they plummet to the ground, their stingers join. They reach their climax a few feet from the ground and seperate a hair from it. The two Caoes then set off to find a nesting place far from prying eyes. The female than lies near a heat source fo 2 months while the male keeps other Caoes away, for any caoe will go into a wild rage when it sees a mates that is not it's own. This is probably an preservation instinct, as the Caoes all want their line to prosper and succed. If an opposing caoe destorys the egg and one parent (of it's own same gender), it will than mate with the remaining parent. Strangly, both parents attack fericouly if their partner or its egg is threathed, but offer no resentice when mating a second time. This is probably due because caoes mate every 3 years.
[edit] Life Cycle
The life of a caoe would begin with the laying of an egg. The egg comes out smaller than a pupil of their eye. Upon reaching oxygen, the egg rapidly grows and spreads until its 2 feet in diameter, a perfect circle. Unto 3 weeks later, the caoe hatches out and spreads its wings to dry. The more time it takes for the wings to dry, the stronger and handsomer the caoe will be. If the caoe takes half an hour to an hour, than the parents must throw the young one into the lava pits, so the child doesn’t alter his child’s appearance. This would set a chain reaction so, eventually; the Caoes would be replaced by weaker and uglier versions of their once proud selves. However, if the caoe takes less than half an hour, the parents may keep the baby, but not allow it mate and it must stay in underground craven forever so it won't hurt itself in the above. After its wings are dry, it clings to its mother, who radiates protein. The father teaches it on how to fly and eat. Once these lessons are over, the caoe is able to fly about. It still doesn’t leave its parents, as it is still learning on how to use its brain and how to fight. Caoe, generally peaceful creatures tend to attack if a foreign creature appears a fight over mate, or one to show its strength. Once learning all lessons that require it to survive, and a few others that the parents think might help the young Caoe heads out to live on its own. Caoes may live in packs, with offspring included, but usually they go solo.
