[edit] Introduction
The Calypso are a race that have come from the brink of enslavement of an unknown race. The Calypso's fear of other races and their past has made them warlike, so they ruthlessly exterminate any other races they see as a threat to their culture. The Calypso regard there motherworld as the centre of the universe. The motherworld is made up of a giant planet sourrounded by trillions of space ships all linked together by metal rods. The Calypso's have the unique ability to move there home planet with ease thanks to the sheer size of the fleet around the planet. The area around the planet has an atmosphere that extends past the area of the fleet of ships. Each ship around the planet is continually pumping out a mixture of oxygen and nirtogen so that even in the surrounding space the Calypso can breath with ease.
[edit] Basic Anatomy of a Calypso
Calypso's are humanoid but enjoy hightened senses through there use of implants. The Calpso also have wings that they use to guide there jet propulsion. Calypso skin is mainly black though some other variations include white, red or blue.

The Calpyso belive they evolved from a single-celled organism. The organism later evolved into a multi-cellular creature that had two arms, two legs and a head around 250 million years ago. This creature slowly evovled into hundreds of strains of creatures all classified as humanus. Only two known humanus survive to this day, they are Homo Habitis and the Calypso. Homo Habitis looks like the Calypso but its brain fuction is lower than even the slowest Calypso.

The Calypso are extremly religious to the point that the high priest is almost higher than the Leader. The Calypso have many gods and the complex relationships between each god is understood only by a few. The main god is Estern who is the maker of the sky. Other gods include Leher who is the maker of the Earth and the God of War Atton.

Architecture is made up of recycled metals. The houses of Calypso are small ships and they surround the motherworld. Calypso main industry is mostly ship building, weaponry and animal breeding.

There is no real ecomomy to Calypso because everything is shared and traded.

The Calypso are carnivorous and there favourite food is the Zow. The Zow is bred on large ships in the fleet and is then given out.

The Calypso are ruled with an iron fist by the Leader. In their personal lives, however, Calypso's are free to live out there lives doing anything they want but 5 years military services is compulsary.

[edit] Organisation
The military is organised on a ranking system. Every Calypso starts at the bottom of the rankings and with sufficient points advances to the next rank. Points are awarded in battle, by a superior or by experience. Different sectors include the Air Force, Land Corps, Naval Unit or Homeland Duties. After the five years of compulsary service the Calpyso may stay with the military or go back to being a civilian. 75% of the Calypso population is a member of the military.

The Air Force is the favourite sector of the military for the Calypso. Over 80% of the military consist of members of the Air Force. The Air Force of Calypso is unparrled in strength and numbers. Members of the Air Force use thier own jet propulsion to fly to the batle. In battle they use a variety of weaponry like guns, handheld missle-launchers, flamethrowers or even there bare hands. The elite members of the Air Force carry personal shields and are the top members of the military.

The Land Corp is the staying force of the military. Once the Air Force has won the battle the Land Corp move in and start setting up defences. Land Corps main duties invovle laying down poisonous waste to kill all plant and animal life in the area. The Calypso do not need land and therefore regard it as nothing more than a waste of space.

The Naval Unit is the most hated service of the military. The Calypso hate water. The Naval Unit main aim is to invade underwater cities and exterminate anyone and anything.

Homeland Duties main role is to protect the motherworld from Invansion. They involve sections from all other sectors of the military.

The Calypso use its air superiority to great advantage. Once air superiority is gained the Calypso send in there bomber to destroy any resistance.
[edit] Espionage and Sabotage
The military do not rely on sheer strength to take out there many enemy's they use spies to pinpoint where to attack and even before they send in the main force, commandos go in and take at places with the highest concentration of emeny force so that the when the main fovce does arrive it is met with minimal resistance.

The Calypso early history is something of a mystery. The Calypso belive that they were always ruled by a leader that taught them how to fly and how to use tools. Once they established themselves as one of the major powers of the world they tried to co-operate peacefully with other races already on the planet but this was not the case. One of the other races got greedy and tried to take over the planet. The Leader rallied his people and the Calypso with there air superiority fought back and almost won. The unknown race then did the unthinkable to the Calpyso people, they killed the Leader. After that the Calypso fell apart and started to fight amongst themselves. Slowly the unknown race grew strong again and they began stringing from the only place the Calypso could not go, the sea. After 300 years of fighting the unknown race looked victorious and started to enslave the Calypso. The Calypso would have been forever enslaved if not the next coming had not happened. A second Leader was born in one of the slave camps. The Leader once again rallied his people and urged his people that he had an idea that would get rid of the unknown race forever. Once the Leader had gathered enough followers the Calypso people had there revenge and blew there own planet up. The Calypso escaped and settled on another world but they always knew that no matter what planet thay went to it would not be there own planet so once they had mastered space travel they went back and restored there motherworld. But the fear of the unknown race was always there and they belived thet the unknown race would return so they decided to move the planet using a gigantic fleet. The fleet moved the planet but the fleet was using up more fuel then the Calypso had so the Leader decided to invade other worlds and use up there resources. That is where the Calypso is now always conquering other planets in search of the unknown race that is always haunting the dreams of every living Calypso.
