[edit] Breedan

The Breedan people are a kind and gentle race, much unlike the Human race. One of the many species that the Human spacescraft Vortex 3 has encountered on its journey throughout the universe, the Breedan are in some respects significantly more advanced than the rest of the universe and its many, many species. They are renowned in their galaxy as a friendly and generous people who extend great hospitality to visitors, and were happy to entertain the Vortex 3 crew. Indeed, from the limited contact that Vortext 3 had with the Breedan's, it appeared that they had solved all of their material problems and were largely concerned with overcoming the boredom which resulted. The Breedans' advanced technology is most apparent in their trajector system. This is a form of matter transmission similar in its operation to Human matter transporters. However, the Breedan planet has a mantle of unknown material; by using this to amplify their trajector field, the Breedan people have achieved field magnitudes ten orders of magnitude beyond anything any other species has, allowing them to instantaneously transport objects up to 40,000 light years.

Vortex 3 and its crew were naturally keen to use this technology, but the Breedan culture has a policy which forbids them from lending such help. The captain of Vortex 3 offered the Breedan ruling council a copy of the Human literary database in return for the use of the trajector - as the Breedan people prize stories greatly, but although this offer was tempting it was ultimately refused. Several of Vortex 3's crew set up negotiations with dissident Breedan's and purchased a trajector unit in return for the database, an act in direct violation of the captains orders. Although the trade was successful, the trajector technology proved to be incompatible with the Vortex 3 space craft systems due to its dependence on the planets mantle. Once the Breedan ruling council realised that one of their trajectors had been sold to the Vortex 3's crew, they demanded that it should be returned and in return the crew would receive the human database back. The crew grudenly accepted.

All contact with the Breedan people has regretably been cut off, although Human diplomats are currently in talks with the Breedan ministers.

[edit] Breedan Physiology

The Breedan people have a remarkably similar appreance to Human Physiology, with the exception that the Breedan people have three legs, therefore they are a tripod race. Unfortuanly, that is where the similarity ends. From what little knowledge that the Vortex 3 crew managed to keep, we have discovered that the Breedan people have no Kidneys, which is remarkable. They aparently have their version of a Kidney inside their stomach, which remarkabley doesnt break down due to the stomach acids. They also have very little forehead mucles, which decreases their ablity to express their emotions as well as humans.

Since their home planet is close to the Sun, Promicia Ventwanna, the Breedan people have very little hair on their bodies, so in effect they are hairless.

[edit] Breedan Culture

The Breedan people have an extraordinary culture. They have created works that far outreach the works of Shakespear, Tsun Ui, Leon Geoff, Range Prangu and Danny Elfman. The Breedan people have a sort of flair for the dramatic, as they tend to look up into the sky often and let their voices trail of when the Vortex 3 crew where talking to them. As they had apparently solved all of their material problems, they are more focused on creating new and fantastic ideas for the universe to enjoy. Although, thanks to the Vortex 3 crew, the universe wont be seeing these works for many years to come.

The Breedan also have an affinity for pets. The Chirpoque creature, which is quite popular amonst the galaxy, is extremely popular in the Breedan System. Others inculde the Zangla creature, which is mainly used for long distance transport while on planets, and the Abscido creature for props in plays, as well as food in restraunts.
