The Aurus are a avian species, native to the forest swathed Aurus Prime. They lay their eggs in the winter, and watch over them closely until the summer. When they hatch their feathers are a snowy white, which will turn green or blue, depending if they are a boy or a girl respectivley. The species is primarily aboreal, and their modern cities are built in the canopies of their forest home. When foraging a Aurus will leap on it's food from above, grabbing it with their talons and carrying it away. To do this, they have evolved excellent senses of sight and hearing, to beat others to the best fruit, with improved smell thrown in for the occasional long distance foraging. They excel at flying fast, and far, an adaptation made to allow them to cross the oceans of Aurus Prime. They adore insects as food, and will view them as an incredibly rare and delicious delicacy.

These people are pranksters. The glue-on-your-wings, I know a song that get's on everybody's nerves..., the full body swirly, and so many other pranks, gags, and jokes are owed to this species. With a mentality that humor is the number one thing to look for in a mate, it isn't suprising that these people are the comedians of the galaxies. They get along very well with the Introi, a fact that many who have had to clean up after a multi-species Corono party, will testify.

Though their spacecraft are merely duplications of other species technology, the Aurus once had the most advanced space tech in their system. They early on established contact with their neighbors, the Spirki and the Ti'saar. They are one of the three main member species of the Content:Natrian Empire, along with the Introi, and the Ectomians. They make up 13% of the total population.
