[edit] The Arkhan

The Arkhan are a desert/volcano dwelling race of reptiles that are similar to enlarged split-tailed velociraptors. The exact markings upon the Arkhan depend on the tribe and rank of that specific Arkhan, but the main scale color can range from nearly any combination of red, blue, and yellow. Hellmaw Markings

[edit] The Tribes

The Arkhan are a tribal species, and thus are split into tribes. There are six major tribes, while many minor tribes and clans reside throughout the planet. The six tribes are as follows:

Sandfang: Yellow main/orange secondary. The largest desert dwelling tribe, rules over the vast Ankharia Desert.

Dustclaw: Green main/blue secondary. The smallest major tribe, desert dwelling. Largely oppressed by the Sandfang, and used as slaves.

Windblade: Orange main/blue secondary. Brethren to the Dustclaw, the two are allied against the Sandfang, but even their combined power cannot stop the Sandfang Horde. Now reside in hiding with the free Dustclaw.

Glassarm: White main/white secondary. Mysterious tribe, keeps to itself usually, but they have recently been seen meeting with free Dustclaw and Lavaspikes.

Lavaspike: Red main/orange secondary. The smaller volcanic tribe, guard their sacred Mount Inferno from the encroaching Hellmaw.

Hellmaw: Orange main/red secondary. The larger volcanic tribe, seek to regain their ancestral Mount Inferno and exterminate the Lavaspike. Have been seen working with the Windblades in return for soldiers against the Lavaspike.
